MacAtee, for- mer Consul-General in Jerusa,7 lean, has been appointed acting United States representative on the advisory commission of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine. ALLEN'S expressed his surprise "how peo- ple in general and Arabs in par- ticular have forgotten Israel, which is lurking amidst the Arab world to create problems, only three years after the Pales- tine war. I assert that our great concern is the Jews. Were it not for them, there would be no cause for concern in the Arab East."
