P. Rosenberg, associate professor
of German at Yeshiva Univer-
sity, has been granted a year's
leave of absence to pursue a
Ford Foundation' fellowship in
the humanities.

Edison Elects Cisler on
Its Board of Directors

Prentiss B. Brown, chairman
of the board of the Detroit Edi-
son Co., announced the election
of Walker L. Cisler, executive
vice president of the company,
to membership on the board of
directors. This election is pre-
paratory to Cisler's taking over
as president and general man-
ager on December 1, 1951, when
James W. Parker, president
since 1944, reaches retirement
age. Parker will be engaged as
a consultant.

made bequests in favor of the
Keren Kayemeth Lelsrael. In-
cluding the first six months of
5710, the total income to date
from this source has reached
IL. 821,376. The Anglo-Saxon
countries accounted for the bulk
of bequested funds. South Africa
heads the list with 29% of the
total; 28.3% of the bequests
came from America, and 23.9%
from Britain. This year so far,
the largest sum total of bequests
was received from Britain.
