Music Program on WWJ
The culture commission of the
Jewish Community Council,
headed by Lawrence Crohn and
Louis LaMed, Will present the
first in. its series of holiday pro-
grams Sunday evening, Oct. 7,
on Radio Station WWJ, AM and
FM, 5:30 to 6 p.m.
Featured this year will be
Cantor Jacob • Sonenklar and
Choir or congregation Shaarey
Zedek, in a program of liturgi-
cal music. The entire musical
portion of the program will be
under the direction of Dan
Frohman. • Rabbi Max J. Wohl-
gelernter, of Congregation Mo-
gen Abraham, will deliever the
High Holiday message. ,Harry
Goldstein will be the narrator,
and Ole Foersch at the organ.

Children will receive a mod-
ern, well-integrated Jewish edu-
cation; young people will en-
joy activities in a Jewish atmos-
phere.
The new center will be mod-
ern in all its aspects.

cultural work, members of the
Sholem Aleichem Institute and
community representatives will
gather to witness the laying of
the cornerstone of the new cul-
tural center of the Sholem Alei-
chem Institute, which is being
erected on Wyoming at Mar-
gareta, two blocks south of 7
