Jordan King Supports Egypt

NEW YORK-(AJP) - Zionist
disturbances over the ascent of
Prince Talal to the throne of
Jordan were buttressed by a re-
port that the new king has
pledged full support to Egypt in
the latter country's blockade Of
Israel shipping in the Suez canal.
The anti-Israel policy of the
new king led to speedy action by
the Jordan Parliament notifying
Egypt of Jordan's backing. Un-
der the rule of the assassinated
King Abdullah, Jordan had been .
considered the only Arab coun-
try likely to come to terms with
Israel. •
