with imported Belgian applique
lace. A wide panel of the lace
extended down the front of the
snug bodice to the hemline of
the full skirt. She wore a waist
length three-tiered veil, held in
place by a close-fitting cap of
the same lace- and finished with
a strand of pearls taken from
her mother's wedding gown.
She carried a bouquet of pha-
elanopsis, stephanotis and ivy.
Her aunt, Mrs. Nathan Simons,
was hostess at a reception fol-
lowing the ceremony. The couple
left for a honeymoon to Miami
Beach and New Orleans. On
their return they will reside on
Whitmore Road.

TE CARLO, will arrive in Detroit
on Oct. 11 for a four-day en-
gagement. Its stars, Alexandra
Danilova, Frederick Franklin and
Leon Danielian, will dominate
the opening program.

Red Cross to Hold Classes
At Woodward Center

Mrs. Bruce Douglas, chairman
of the Home Nursing Service,
Detroit Chapter, announces the
formation of Red Cross -classes
to begin later this month at the
Woodward Jewish Center.
Mrs. Douglas stated that this
year's classes, to begin as soon
as a proper number of women
have enrolled, will consist of
seven two-hour lessons, with
emphasis given to the mass care
of injured people.
The Detroit Chapter is seeking
to train 5,000 people as part of
the Civilian Defense program
for the city.
