ed from a stay in Frankfort, Mich.
Miss Harriet Simon, of the Wilshire Hotel, and Miss Anne
Solomon, of Glynn Ct., have returned from a week's motor trip
to Toronto.
• Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Manko, of Calvert Ave., had as house
guests. this week their children, Mr. and Mrs. Rolf Manko, of
Schenectady, N. Y., and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Manko, of Cincinnati.
Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Samovitz and son, Mike, of Littlefield
Ave., have returned from a motor trip to the east coast.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Diamond and daughters, Marjorie and
Miriam, of Cortland Ave., have returned from a week's visit in
Charlevoix.

extended tour of Florida; Cuba and Bermuda. They will return

Israel. She will return home following a two-month visit in Syria,
Greece, Trans-Jordan, Italy and Spain.

from a two-week motor trip to Miami Beach, Fla., and New Or-
leanS, La.
Miss Naomi Spector, of Los Angeles, Calif., is vacationing in
Detroit where she is visiting her parents and family.
Miss Madeline Jacobs of Cleveland is the guest here of relatives
and friends for 10 days.

At a meeting of the board of
education of Yeshivath Beth Ye-
hudah held Saturday . evening,
.plans were approved for the
opening of the day school and
afternoon classes next Wednes-
day, marking the 36th year of
operation for the Yeshivah,
bearing the name of its founder
in 1916, the late Rabbi Yehudah
Leib Levin.
Elementary a n d secondary
grades (1st through 12th) of the
B6th Yehudah day school, will
begin at 9 a.m. Wednesda.y, the
Kindergarten for 5-year-olds at
10 a.m., and the nursery at 1
p.m.
Afternoon classes for boys will
begin sessions at 4 and 6 p.m.,
at which time simultaneous Beth
Jacob classes for girls will meet
for the new term. At 8 p.m. Bar
Mitzvah_ candidates are taught.
Bus transportation is provided
wherever necessary. Breakfasts,
lunches and afternoon snacks
are served to pupils of the sev-
eral departments.
