Clover Lodge to End

Labor Day will climax the
season's activities at Lesser's
Clover Lodge, Omena, Mich.
Many guests at-

have already
made reserva-
tions to attend
special Labor

the season.

comic of stage
and television,
Mrs. Goldberg who has direct-
ed the Lodge's program of sports,
stage and social events, has
planned an unusually superb
show for the weekend. He is as-
sisted by Bella Goldberg, one of
Detroit's favorite musicians, and
an authority on Jewish music
and song.
Recent guests at Clover Lodge
who were called to the stage to
participate in the informal stage
shows, presented three times a
week, were Dan and Rebecca
Frohman, Milly Lewis, Jennie
Kent and M; .x Somberg, who
was also at the Lodge for several
weeks in June and July.
Aside from social and recrea-
tional functions, Clover Lodge
boasts the informality of a "no-
necktie club," which forbids
wearing neckties in the dining
room. A special playground is
available for youngsters, with
experienced counselors directing
play activities.

With a promise of no speeches
and "just a day of good fellow-
ship," the second annual De-
troit Service Group stag day for
the trade and professional work-
ers of the Allied Jewish Cam-
paign will be eld Sept. 11, at
Franklin Hills Country Club.
Planning the affair with Har-
vey H. Goldman, president of
the Detroit Service Group, are
Gus D. Newman, chairman, ex-
ecutive committee; Irving W.
Blumberg, board chairman; Abe
Kasle, Milton K. Mahler, Ben L.

vice-presidents.
