JDC funds also help pay travel expenses and • mainten- ance in the summer colonies as well as medical care and educa- tional guidance for the young vacationers. During the past four years more khan 50,000 youngsters have enjoyed JDC summer vaca- tions. This number included 15,000 in 1947; 15,500 in 1948; 11,80Q in 1949; and 10,800 in 1950.
