Mrs. Vivian Tatken and daughters, Barbara and Joan, of
Sturtevant Ave., are expected back this week from a visit with
members of their family in Philadelphia.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Lastar of Ardmore Ave: were hosts at
a garden party Sunday in celebration of their son, Howard's, first
birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Zuckerman, formerly of Plymouth, have
established residence in East Orange, N. J.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Handler of Chicago Blvd. are hosts to
their daughter, Mrs. Gene Goldberger and grandson, Mark, of
Miami Beach. Mr. Goldberger will join them here in several
weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Robinson of Canterbury Road and Mrs.
Sally Pick of Garden City are enjoying a holiday in Charlevoix.
Mrs. Irving Klein has returned to her home in Chicago after
a week's visit with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Myron Unger of Manderson Road.
Mrs. Rose Byron of Beverly Hills, Calif., enjoyed a brief visit
here with members of her family and friends while en route to
New York to embark on a South American cruise. On her return
trip, she will be at the Hotel Statler here for a longer holiday.
Mrs. Milton Alex-ander of Calvert Ave. is hostess to her sister,
Mrs. William Browd of Glendale, Calif. Another sister, Mrs.
Maurice Kay, has returned to her home in Cleveland after a week's
visit here.
Mr. and Mrs. Victor W. Klein of Stratford Road left Wednes-
day to spend a month in Charlevoix.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo I. Franklin of Muirland Ave. are vacationing
in Rockport, Mass.
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Mintz of the Lee Plaza Hotel are ex-
pected back next week from a holiday in Provincetown, Cape Cod.
Dr. and Mrs. Arthur Bloom of Gloucester Road are spending
a fortnight at the Savoy Plaza Hotel, New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Loewenstein, Jr., and son, Robert, formerly
of Littlefield Ave., now are residing in their new home at 18964
Birchcrest Drive.
Bruce Abrahams of Muirland Ave. and Alvin Fishman of
Fairfield Ave. are expected back this week from an extensive
motor trip to the West Coast.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hamburger, their daughter, Sola, and son,
David, are in their new residence at 19444 Parkside Road. Their
son, Hilliard Barton Hamburger, who flew to Europe in June, has
visited France, Italy, Switzerland and England, and will spend
some time on the Riviera before embarking for home on the
Queen Elizabeth at the end of August.
Mrs. Beulah Lewis and daughty, Harriet, are vacationing for
a week in Fairmont, W. Va.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Smith, of Cuyahoga Falls, 0., announce the
birth of a daughter, Deborah Lynn on July 18. The grandparents
are Mr. and Mrs. Hyman Cohen, of Lawrence Ave., who are now
entertaining the Smith's other daughter, Cynthia Diane, at their
summer home at Cedar Beach, Can.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Lemberg, of Pasadena Ave., have returned
from a week's cruise of the Great Lakes aboard the S. S. South
America.

won added support as the City
Fusion Party endorsed his can-
didacy for city council head in
