In honor of the 25th wedding anniversary of their parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Sol Lumberg, of Atkinson Ave., Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Segal tendered a surprise party on July 21 at their home on
Clements Ave. Included among the 30 guests were Mr. and Mrs.
Lumberg's family and nearest friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Seymour D. Eichman are now residing in their
new home, 12927 Victoria Ave., Huntington Woods.
Warren Rovetch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Rovetch of
2726 Oakman Court, sailed on the Queen Elizabeth for home. Mr.
Rovetch has studied at Oxford, England, for the past two years,
and just received his grachiate degree in economics from Oxford.
Miss Ann Stoller of Glendale Ave. and Miss Bea Portney of
Meyers Road, are spending a few weeks at Surfcomber Hotel,
Miami Beach.
Mrs. Emily Brown of the Hotel Wilshire and Miss Carolyn
Brown have returned from a two weeks' vacation in Miami Beach.
Miss Dawn Demont of Blaine Ave., has returned from an
extended vacation in New York, Washington and Baltimore.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Shifman, of 2554 Elmhurst, celebrated their
golden wedding anniversary on July 1, at which time they were
feted at a dinner attended by their family and friends at
Kraemer's Olympia Hotel in Mount Clemens.
Rabbi Leon Frain is vacationing in Los Angeles, where he is
the guest of his niece, Mrs. Nat Silverstein. He will return Aug. 16.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Markel, sons, Irving and Sidney, and daugh-
ter, Mrs. Herman Katz, of Leslie Ave., have left to spend the
summer at their Cass Lake home.
Irving Markel, of Leslie Ave., has returned from a two-week
stay in Hopkinsville, Ky., where he visited his friend, Pvt. Sanford
Sikov, of Detroit, at Fort Campbell.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Prag of Boston Blvd., will be honor
guests at a family dinner Sunday, as the couple celebrate their
50th year of married life. Present will be their children, Milton
and Dr. Jerome Prag, Mrs. Selma Bockoff, Mrs. Rhea Klein, Mrs.
Helene Dorman and Mr. and Mrs. Prag's grandchildren. A recep-
tion at 9 p.m. will follow at the home of Mrs. Mockloff, 18024

Mrs. Gertrude Samter will join relatives and friends at Coin
Basque, Haines Falls, N. Y. for a vacation during August.

attended the wedding of their son, Alvord, to June Kerns on

Camp Interlochen to visit their three older children. They heard
