Silver Lauds Role of
Prenzlauer Society

Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Winick,
In a statement made by Har-
of Pasadena Ave., announce the
engagement of their daughter, old Silver, director of the Jew-
ish Social Service Bureau, on
the recent passing of Eva Prenz-
lauer, he recalled Miss Prenz-
lauer's "years of activity in the
field of charity and particularly
her role in founding the organi-
zation which bears her name.
"The work of the Society, of
which Mrs. Sam M. Samuels is
president, represents, in my
opinion, one of the important
supplements to organized Jew-
ish social service.
"The Eva Prenzlauer Mater-
nity Aid finances the confine-
ment of needy Jewish women
and the attendant pre and post-
natal care. The Jewish Social
Service Bureau and Resettle-
ment Service refer to EPMA all
such cases where it is not ad-
visable to use public hospitals.
We have found the officers and
Mrs. Rose Goldberg, case work-
er, always cooperative and
