Nuptials in Mt. Clemens

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Slotnick
of Miami Beach and Atlantic
City announce the marriage of

MRS. SIDNEY KRAEMER

their daughter, Ruth, to Sidney
Kraemer, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Samuel Kraemer of Mount Clem-
ens. The wedding took place in
-Mount Clemens on June 21.
The bride graduated with
honors from the University of
Pennsylvania where she majored
in music. The bridegroom at-
tended the Miami Beach College
of Commerce and Detroit Busi-
ness University. Both families
are prominent in the hotel bus-
iness and are connected with
Ostend in Atlantic City, GOod in
Miami Beach and Kraemer's
Olympia in Mount Clemens.

Israel Youngsters
To Benefit from
\Teighborhood Play

The cause of the new state of
Israel was given a boost by a
group of conscientious and am-
bitious youngsters on July 7
when a group of five to ten-year
olds gave a play with all pro-
ceeds going for children in Is-
rael.
The play was written by •Ellen
Ruth Shapiro, 8, and Mary Res-
nick, 10, and was presented in
the recreation room of the Wil-
liam Casman's of Kentucky Ave.
An admission price of 10 cents
for children and 25 cents for
adults netted several dollars,
and toys were collected, which
will also be sent to Israel's chil-
dren.
The play, called "Linda's
Birthday," included in its cast
Misses Shapiro and Resnick and
Doreen Casman, Joan Kaufman,
Marcia Soverinsky, Joan Haber-
man, Cathy Haberman, Joe Cas-
man and Jamie Kaufman.
Giving the players a lift be-
hind the scenes were Gary
Pierce and Bernard Gleiberman,
who were stagehands.

Goldstein became the bride of
Charles Alexander Braun, son
of Mrs. George Epstein. Rabbi
Leon Fram officiated. t Fred
Braun was his brother's best
man. Joan was attended by her
cousin, Donda Rosenzweig. Alan
and Samuel Goldstein, brothers
of the bride, ushered at the wed- .
ding reception. For her wedding
the bride chose a gown of white
French organza and linen. She
wore an , organza cap which
matched her gown and white
gloves and pumps. Her flowers
were French camelias pinned to
her handbag. Following a motor
trip to Mexico where they will
spend the summer, the couple
will reside on Glynn Court. Both
young people are teachers in the
Detroit School System.

line Elaine Berner, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Axelrod, of
Brooklyn, N. Y., became the
bride of Raymond S. Franklin,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Frank-
lin, of 19180 Lauder. The cere-
mony was held at the bride-
groom's residence, and was fol-
lowed by a dinner at Northwood
Inn. The couple are honey-
mooning in the west and plan
an extensive trip through Mex-
ico. In September both young
people plan to resume their
studies at Goddard College,
Plainfield, Vt.

Abe Bleiwas, whose wedding took
place July 8, left for New York
by way of Niagara Falls and At-
lantic City for their honeymoon.
Mrs. Bleiwas is the former.

land Avenue. Mr. Bleiwas is a
resident of New York.
