The first in a series of three religious pro-
grams honoring Detroit's 250th Birthday Festi-
val will be presented by the Jewish Community
Council of Detroit. The special 250 anniversary
Committee of the Council, headed by Rabbi Leon.
Fram of Temple Israel,:. has arranged a program
of Jewish music for this occasion. The Jewish
portion of this series will be presented Sunday
afternoon, July 15, at 4 p.m., from the Theme
Center in Grand Circus Park. A portion of this
program may be heard through the facilities of
Radio Station WWJ from 4: to 4:30 p.m.
Featured on this program will be the' Cantor's
Choir of Detroit, some of whom are shown above,
under the direction - of Don Frohrnan. Bob Les--
lie, of Radio. Station WWJ, the Detroit News, will
serve as narrator for this program and .01e
Foerch, noted organist, will accompany the
Choi. The Thenie Center has beeri constructed

tors : Cantors Hyman Adler, H. J. Blank, Reuben
Boyarsky, Nicholas Fenakel,' David Katzman,
A. A. Rosenfeld, Jacob Silverman, Jacob Skol-
nick and Chaim Schulsinger.
Rabbi Fram will offer greetings on behalf of
the Jewish community. The program will con-
sist of a narrated concert of Jewish music.
Among the numbers to be sung by the Cantors'
Choir will be "Halelujah"—Psalm 150, "Heiveinu
Shalom. Aleichem," "Yism'chu," "Ani Maamin,"
"Reb Dovid'l," "Acheinu Sol Beis Yisroel" and
"Shir •Ha-Emek."
Leonard Simons is chairman of the sub-com-
