In his annual report to the congregation, Rabbi Leon Fram asked for personal commitments on the part of each member for Beth Aaron Men's Club Presents Annual Picnic Sidney Weinberg, president of the Men's Club of Beth Aaron Synagogue, announces the third annual picnic will be held at 10 a.m., Sunday, at Cass Benton Park. At a meeting of the Vaad Ha- bonim of Detroit on June 14, the Council of Orthodox Rabbis adopted a nine-point resolution appealing to Detroit Jewry to aid kosher caterers in maintain- ing strict observance of kash- ruth. Letters pent to Caterers in the Detroit area request that no weddings be allowed from July 21 to Aug. 13. They further ask that all affairs be planned so as not to interfere with the holi- days of Rosh Hashanah and Sukkot. The Vaad also asks that candy containing milk not be served, and that only kosher wines and champagnes be used.
