Gerald Weintraub, of 2698 Pasadena, a student at Kenyon
Co'llege in Ohio, placed on the honor roll with an all "A" average
during his first year. A graduate of Central High School, the 17-
year-old was awarded a $3,000 scholarship in chemistry to the
school.
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin L. Barkin (the former Madeline DeRoven)
and children, Ricky and Bruce, have.moved from Ewald Circle to
their new home at 19940 Stout.
The 25th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wein-
field, of Blaine Ave., was celebrated June 16, at Detroit Hebrew
Congregation. The party was tendered by Messrs. and Mesdames
James Schossberger, of Erie, Pa., Max Glass, Bill Cohen and Louis
Cohen. The couple's children, Arthur and Elsie, were two of 75
guests in attendance.
Mrs. Joseph M. Welt has been elected to the board of directors
of the American ORT Federation (Organization for Rehabilitation
through training), it was announced by Dr. William Haber, pres-
ident.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Unger are back in residence at Suffolk
Drive after a six weeks' trip to London and Paris.
Barbara Shifrin, daughter of D. and Mrs. Peter G. Shifrin of
Oakman Blvd., will spend the summer as counselor at Pinemere
Youth Camp in New York State.
