Mrs. Harry Berry of Denver, Colo., is here to visit with the
members of her family for several weeks. She is the house guest
of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Berry of Mar-

Miss Judith Mayer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julian Krolik of
Chicago Blvd., leaves for Montreal today where she will sail on
the Empress of France for a 10-week grand tour of Europe.
Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Adler, former Detroiters now of Delmar,
Calif., will be hosts to many of their Detroit friends on the oc-
casion of their daughter, Natalie's, marriage. Those leaving for
a fortnight of festivities at the Delmar Hotel include Mrs. Henry
Holinstat of Fullerton Ave.,. Mrs. Simon Kates of Santa Barbara
Drive, Mr. and Mrs. George Seyburn of Wildemere Ave., and Mr.
and Mrs. Norman Ross of Warrington Drive.
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Crohn of Wilde-mere Ave., enjoyed a
recent visit from the former's sister, Mrs. Roth of New York.
Dr. Harry Stocker of Devonshire Road was in Washington,
D. C., this week to attend the wedding of his niece, Judith Stein-
berg. Mrs. Stocker is in Israel this summer.
Mr. - and Mrs. Daniel Tenenbaum of East Lansing are house
guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Jacobson of Lauder
Ave.
Richard Barnett, son of Dr. and Mrs. Louis Barnett of Nor-
mandy Ave., left the past week for San Francisco.
Mrs. David Connery of E. Jefferson Ave., is spending a month
in Puerto Rico.
Mr. and Mrs. David H. Brown of Burlingame Ave. have taken
a hoine on Cape Cod for the Summer months.
Dr. Raymond Altman of -Roselawn Ave., has returned from a
week of fishing at Burt Lake, where he stayed at Knollwood
Lodge.
Mr. and Mrs. Felix Mahler of Whitmore Rd. are enjoying a
South American holiday this summer.
To honor their son, Gerald, graduate from Wayne University
Medical School, Mr. and Mrs. Harry C. Davidson were hosts at a
reception in their Stratford Road home Monday evening. Gerald
received his B.A. from the U. of M.
. An open house in celebration of their 25th wedding anniver-
sary will be held by Mr. and Mrs. Samuel F. Miller, of 20425 Steel,
from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, June 24. No cards.
Mrs. Minna Elliman and Mrs. Gertrude Armstrong were co-
hostesses at a personal shower given at Devon Gables in honor of
Mrs. Armstrong's sister, Marion Friedman, whose marriage to Paul
S ilverston will be performed on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred A. Helfgott, of West Hartford, Conn.,
formerly of Detroit, announce the graduation of their daughter,
Louise, from Hall High School, and the confirmation of another
daughter, Sylvia, from the religious school of Emanuel Synagogue,
both in Hartford. The girls are currently visiting relatives and
friends in Detroit, Louise as the guest of Miss Lee Wald,
19137 Woodingham, and Sylvia, at the home of Miss Rosalie
Abromovitz, 18295 Monica.
Mrs. Rose Kaplan and son, Robert, have returned to their
home on LaBelle Ave., after an extended visit in Tucson, Ariz.
Mr. J. Cohen, of Tyler Ave., has left for a two-week stay in
Los Angeles, Calif., where he will be a house guest of his daugh-
ter-in-law, Mrs. C. Cohen.
Mrs. Henry Barahl, of Tyler Ave., had as her guests her daugh-
ter and son-in-law and their children, former Detroiters who are
moving to Oregon. . .
Isadore Million, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Million, of 2717 Vir-
ginia Pk., will travel overseas with a major oil company following
his graduation from the University of Michigan on June 16.
Mrs. Isaac Shetzer and her daughter, Mrs. Harry August, will
leave next week for a several week visit in Israel.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry W. Himmelhoch and son, of San Juan Dr.,
left for their summer home at Higgins Lake, Mich.
Mr. and Mrs. John J. Leopold, of Wisconsin Ave., left for Bos-
ton, Mass., to attend the graduation of •their son, Gerald Vern,
from Harvard University law school. They will be joined by their
son, Harvey, and his fiance, Joyce Himmelhoch.
Couple Has 1-2 Punch
At Wayne Law School
A young couple, who will cele-
brate their second wedding an-
niversary on Tuesday, graduated
from Wayne University's Law
School at ceremonies on June 14.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lifton (the
former Rbselle Unatin) were not
only distinguished in that they
both graduated, but they re-
ceived their law degrees as Num-
ber 1 and Number 2 in the grad-
uating class.
Fred, 22-years-old, was first,
and Roselle, 21, came next. Both
young graduates will study for
the Bar examination, which
they will take together in Sept-
ember. Some day (they hope in
the very near future) they plan
to open a law Office together.
