be given at Percy Jones Hospital.
The dramatic group of the Adas
Shalom will present "Consola-
tion," a comedy. Wyn Garden,
Detroit soprano, will render vocal
selections, accompanied by Mrs.
Norman Allan. Several short
musical skits will be presented by
the club's own dramatic group.

man and Mrs. Henry Weinberg.

a pre-Shevuoth program and

entation entitled "Sounds from
Saini," written and directed by
Mrs. Joshua Sperka and enacted
by members of the group. The
tenth anniversary of the organ-

study dramatic arts at the Pasa-
dena Playhouse College of The-
ater Arts in Pasadena, Calif.
Shaarey Zedek Women
To Present Cantata
"A Journey Through the Book"
is the title of a Cantata to be
presented by the Sisterhood of
Cong. Shaarey Zedek at 9 p.m.,
Saturday, when the congrega-
tion will host the first Michigan
Conference of the United Syna-
gogue of America.
The script for the cantata was
written by Rabbi Morris Adler
and the music by Dan Frohman.
Participants are Mrs. Philip B.
Frank, narrator; Mrs. Samuel
Shetzer, soprano; Lillian Zel-
man, pianist; Jacob Becker, cel-
list; and Dan Frohman, bari-
tone.

SHALOM SISTERHOOD will
present a play, "Consolation,"
for veterans of Percy Jones Hos-
pital in Battle Creek on Satur-
day. A luncheon in honor of the
group will precede the program,
which wil be presented twice,
for ambulatory and bedridden
patients. In the cast are Mes-
dames M. Sherbow, M. Gobel, E.
C. Armstrong, J. Kamen and A.
Ross. Mrs. I. Kaufman is direc-
tor, and is assisted by Mesdames
I. Feldman and A. Ross.

The Greater Detroit Bnai
Brith Council will hold its an-
nual dinner installation of of-
ficers on Wednesday, 6:30 p.m.
at Bel-Aire Terrace.
Sidney J. Karbel, past-presi-
dent of Harry B. Keidan Lodge,
past-president of Council, and
general committeeman of Dis-
trict Grand Lodge No. 6, will be
installing officer. Milton M.
Weinstein, past president of Pis-
gah Lodge is general chairman.
Members and friends who are
unable to attend the dinner are
invited to the installation cere-
mony at 8:30 p.m.
There will be refreshments,
entertainment and dancing.
A special feature at the in-
stallation will be a „presentation
by the teen-age Starlets, featur-
ing Barbara Herman and Jerry
Mumper, accompanied by Ercell
