The occasion will also mark a testimonial dinner tendered to Irving W. Schlussel, one of the outstanding leaders of the Jew- ish community. Gov . G. Mennen Williams has accepted the posi- tion of honorary sponsor. "The Eternal Road," Franz Werfel's classic pageant of Jew- ish history, will highlight the evening's entertainment. Fea- tured in the presentation will be 51 dramatic and choral voices of Young Israel's youth club members and senior members. Stage drops, scenery and set- tings are being made by Young I s r a el members under Mrs. Abraham M. Silverstein, Helen Feldman and Charles S. Levi. All technicians will be from Young Israel. Felix Resnick, Detroit musi- cian, is in charge of the choral group; Hillel L. Abrams, execu- tive secretary of Young Israel, directs the dramatic group.
