Mother's Day, Bowl
Drive Meeting Monday Halevy Choral Society

The Ladies Auxiliary of the
Jewish National Fund will meet
at 12:30 p.m., Monday, at the
Woodward Jewish Center for a
dessert luncheon. The meeting
will be dedicated to Mothers'
Day and will also celebrate Is-
rael's third anniversary
Hostesses will be Mesdames Al
Clubok, Joseph Greenbaum,
Samuel Krone, Philip Slo'movitz
and Max Stollman.
An original musical, written
and directed by Mrs. Irving Ar-
lin, program chairman, will be
presented by the dramatic group,
the cast of which includes Mes-
dames Max Stollman, Philip
Stollman, Peter Chodoroff, Har-
ry Portnoy, Irwin Harwith, Max
Partrich, Manny Barris, Sidney
Katchem and Israel Kardener.
Also featured will be a music-
al program with Cantor Hyman
Adler, the Bnai David choral
group, Habonim youth group,
with Bella Goldberg, accompa-
nist. Mrs. Albert Prag, president,
announces that the Auxiliary
is participating in the bond
drive and that bonds will be
sold at the meeting.

Society to be presented May 27,

guest soloist will
be Cantor Arele
Diamond, of
New York, ac-
claimed one of
Dan Frohman the nation's
most promising tenors.
Featured will be the rendition
of "Gulat Tziyon," which was
recently written by Dr. William
Klein, who was inspired to write
the melody during a trip to Is-
rael. Dr. Klein is a former pres-
ident and one of the first mem-
bers of the Halevy Society.
The program will also include
the works of Hirshin, Silver, Wil-
erlski, Rumshinsky and many
others. Many of the arrange-
ments have been prepared by
Frohman especially for the con-
cert.

Has Clay Work Exhibit

Kaufman to Leonard P. Baruch,

Miss Kaufman is attending
Wayne University. Her fiance is
a Wayne graduate and a mem-

held in the Bnai Moshe religious
school's library on May 27, from
