Organization of America, con-
ferred with President Truman
Monday for 20 minutes.
After ttie meeting, Mr. Brow-
dy said that the Pregident and
he had discussed problems con-
cerning peace in the Middle East
and in the world and financial
aid to Israel. The President had
expressed himself as hopeful
that peace would be established
in the Middle East, the ZOA
president revealed, indicating
that the President had also
manifested. interest in aid for
Israel. •

from Mr. Browdy to attend the
forthcoming 54th annual ZOA
convention—to be held June 14-

TEL AVIV, (JTA) — Several
hundred guests representing all
elements of Israel's population
attended a garden party at Re-
hobot given by President Chaim
Weiimann on the occasion of
the third anniversary of Israel'•
independence.
Among those present were
members of the diplomatic corps
of the Cabinet, and of Parlia-
ment, high ranking army of-
ficers, representatives of various
Arab commuurties, dignitaries of
different churches and noted
foreign visitors.
