Members of the Jewish Com-
munity Center will be introduced
to their new executive director,
Irwin Shaw, and assistant di-
rector, Harold Weiss, at the 17th
annual meeting, at 8:30 p.m., at
the Davison Branch.
Morris Garvett, president, will
present the annual report.
Twelve members t. the board of
directors will be elected.
Nominees include Mrs. SaTfuel
S. Aaron, Mrs. George Blumen-
stock, Lewis B. Daniels, Wilfred
B. Doner, Max M. Fisher, Mrs.
Joseph G. Geschelin, Jacob L.

Two comedies, "Wednesday's
Cooking" and "JPI Goes South
Pacific," will be presented by
the teen-age Gaslight Theater
and the Jewish Parents' Insti-
tute -drama group, at the meet-
ing.
Players in the teen-age pro-
duction are Gilbert Levin, who
has the lead 7ole of an adult
who wanders into the teen-

NEW YORK: — The national
executive committee of the
American Jewish Congress,
meeting on April 30, unani-
mously voted to expel seven of-
ficers of the Manhattan Division
and one member of the Phila-
delphia Division, suspended the
rights of 13 other persons in
New York and Philadelphia to
hold any elective or appointive
office in the organization for
periods of two years and directed
the -`dissolution of the Manhat-
tan Division.
The action of the executive
committee followed the presen-
tation of reports by two hearing
committee's • appointed earlier
this year by Rabbi Irving Miller,
AJ Congress president. The
Philadelphia hearings were con-
ducted by Prof. Horace Kallen,
distinguished American liberal,
of the New School for Social
Research, and Merwyn Lewis,
prominent New York attorney.
The committee investigating the
Manhattan charges included
Victor Blanc, 3pecial assistant
district attorney in Philadelphia,
and Aaron Lewittes of New York,
formerly general counsel of the
Office of War Mobilization.
The Manhattan group were
found guilty of a series of
charges including violations of
Congress policy, misrepresenta-
tion of its program, and circum-
vention of normal administra-
tive routines. The Philadelphia
members were charged with con-
duct inimical to the welfare of
the Congress.

BOSTON, Mass.—At the invi-
tation of the state of Israel, the
Unitarian Service Committee
and the World Health Organiza-
tion of the United Nations will
sponsor a joint medical teaching
mission to Israel in September
and October, it, was announced
at international- headquarters of
the Unitarian Service Commit-
tee.
Fifteen European and Ameri-
can professors in the fields of
clinical and pre-clinical medi-
cine and public health will -give
lectures and demonstrations,
make 'ward rounds, conduct
round table and informal dis-
cussions, and act as consultants
to various Israeli agencies.
Dr. Leo M. Davidoff, distin-
guished American - brain sur-
geon, clinical professor of neuro-
surgery at New York University
Post-Graduate Medical School,
New York, will be chairman of
