Speaking at a luncheon ten- dered to him by the Commercial and Industrial Club, Dr. Silver expressed his conviction that American Jews would come to Israel. He said that the Jew- ish state is entitled to claim continued economic and politi- cal support f r o in American Jewry and emphasized that the Zionist_ Organization of America is the best organized Zionist group in the United States. Friday, May 11, marks the completion of three years of independent rule of Israel. It is a historic event to be observed by Detroit Jewry at religious services and a public demonstration representing the entire community.
