For Passover Appeal

At a meeting of the board of
directors of the Yeshivath Beth
Yehudah, Morris Snow, president
of Congregation Bnai Zion, was
unanimously elected chairman
of the . PassoVer appeals tradi-
tionally made for the school.
Mr. Snow, at the first organi-
zational meeting, stated that
this year a concerted effort will
be made to obtain as many ap-
peals as possible from all syna-
gogues in Detroit. These ap-
peals, he added, should be made
on the eighth day of Passover
during Yizkor services, at which
time the needs of the Yeshi-
vah will be explained, with
special emphasis laid on the
lunches that are served the chil-
dren each day, pointing out that
$18 feeds a child his lunches for
one month.
Mr. Snow stated that the Vaad
Hachinuch has agreed to issue
a proclamation in all synagogues
explaining the urgency and need
for supporting the Yeshivah.
