At Halevy Concert
Cantor Arele Diamond, of New
York, will be guest soloist at the
213th annual concert to be pre-
sented by the Detroit Halevy
Choral Society on May 27 in the
Detroit Institute of Arts audi-
torium. The announcement was
made this week by Louis J.
Blume, Halevy president.
Cantor Diamond, who is only
29, will appear in two groups of
Yiddish and Palestinian songs,

born and raised

and received his

soloist at Grossingers. He has

vy conductor for 18 years, will
return after a two-year leave of
absence, to conduct the annual
concert.

might have trouble finding one.
That's the price for the Haga-
dah designed by Arthur Szyk,
the noted Jewish illustrator.
The only few remaining copies
are rapidly becoming collector's
items.
From there the range goes
down to 25 cents, and even be-
low. Millions of copies have
been distributed free by com-
mercial food companies and are
in wide use.
