Dr. Jonah B. Wise, nationally
known Rabbi of Central Syna-
gogue in New York and son of
Rabbi Isaac M. Wise, the found-
er of Liberal Judaism in Amer-
ica, will be the guest speaker at
the banquet of the annual .con-
vention of the Michigan State
Federation of Temple Sister-
hoods at 7 p.m., April 3k), at the
Book Cadillac Hotel.
The Convention will open on
Monday morning, at 9 a.m.,
April 30, with sessions and
luncheon at Temple Israel. On
May 1, the meetings will be held
at Temple Beth El.
Several hundred delegates and
visitors are expected to attend;
with the Sisterhoods of Temple
Beth El and Temple Israel act-
ing as the hostesses. Members
of both Sisterhoods who would
like to attend the banquet with
their husbands or the banquet
and the luncheons are asked to
make reservations through both
Temple offices. -
The Michigan State Federa-
tion of Temple Sisterhoods was
organized in 1922 by the Sister-
hood of Temple Beth El.
