For Blood-Giving High

With the objective of setting
a new record for group blood
donations, Bnai Brith lodges and
chapters in Detroit will hold a
gigantic blood bank rally at 6
p.m. Monday at the abor Zion-
ist Institute, Linwood at Pasa-
dena. The bank will be open
until 12 midnight.
Ten lodges will act as hosts:
Bloch, Brandeis, Detroit, Donald
Fox, Gershwin, Handler, Marsh-
all, Morgenthau, Pisgah and Rex.
Twenty - five percent of the
blood donated goes to Korea.

Mark Twain Story
Rabbi Saul Hurwitz, now of
The Bronx, used to be a rabbi
at Elmira, N. Y., where Mark
Twain lived for a while.
Once Rabbi Hurwitz was hav-
ing a haircut when the great
American humorist seated him-
self in an adjacent chair. He
heard the following:
"How do you want your hair
cut?" asked the barber.
"In Silence," replied Mark
Twain.

Two experts will shortly be
sent to Israel for one year un-
der the auspices of the United
Nations Foo'd and Agricultural
Organization to advise Israel on
land use and rang management.
