resort in Pewaukee, Wis.
Prior to her marriage on March 22, Mrs. Lloyd Jay Adelson,
the former Iris Banks, was entertained by Mesdames Gurwin,
Weiss, Camp and Hack, her aunts, at a shower. Other entertain-

offer eulogies on the personality
and role that Isaac- Zemel played
in the Zionist movement.

Arts of Wayne University, fea-
tured Dean Rusk, of the Depart-
ment of State, as discussion
leader and brought several other
State Department officials to
Detroit to confer with commun-
ity leaders. The Jewish Com-
munity Council was one of the
sponsoring organizations.

of the Tietz family, which own-
ed one of the largest depart-
ment stores in Germany until
the Nazis came to power, will re-
ceive 5,000,000 German marks in
compensation for the "Aryani-
zation" of the store by the Nazi
regime in 1933. The sum is to
be paid over a period of four
years.
The survivors sought to be
named partners in the Kauf-
haus Company that took over
control of the store, or else to
receive 16,100,000 marks in corn-
, pensation.
