The 1951 edition of the Michi-
gan Union Opera, an all-male
student-produced musical com-
edy, comes to the stage of Music
Hall for the evenings of April
12 and 13. The opera is being
brought here by the' University
of Michigan Club of Detroit for
the group's annual U. of M.
Nights. All proceeds are slated
for a scholarship fund.
This, the 31st Union Opera,
concerns the mining town of
Helldorado, Colo., a place which
has become wild and woolly for
not having seen a woman in 20
years. Appropriately, the pro-
duction has been tagged "Go
West—Madam."
Being an all-male venture, the
lads don wigs for all female
roles a la other famous college
productions such as Harvard's
"Hasting Pudding" shows and
Pennsylvania's "Mask and Wig"
spectacles.
