At a recent board meeting,
the Infants Service Group, with
Mrs. Sally Abels presiding, ap-
proved four projects to receive
the support of the organiza-
tion. The four are: The Cere-
bral Palsy Clinic, Detroit Orth-
opedic Clinic, Secours Juif of
Paris (France), and Layettes for
Israel.
The funds, raised at the or-
ganization's 17th annual din-
ner-dance, will be used also to
purchase a station wagon for the
transportation of cerebral palsy
patients.
A check for $500 will be pre-
sented soon to the Orthodepic
School to apply on tuition for
a nursery school child. Mrs.
David H. Mattes is in charge of
both projects.
The Layettes for Israel proj-
ect, begun several years ago,
will receive $1,000 for the allo-
cation of infants gowns, pants,
diapers, rubber sheets, blankets,
garments and toys. Mrs. Nathan
Simon, assisted Mrs. Bernard
May, purchasing agent, heads
this service.
Another $1,000 was contrib-
uted to Secours National Juif of
Paris, an organization approved
by ZOA, which, however, re-
ceives funds only from individ-
uals and small groups. Since the
end of World War II, the group
has rehabilitated 650 youngsters
for entrance into Israel. Mrs.
Bernard May is chairman.
