all members of its affiliated
groups to enroll as workers in
the Allied Jewish Campaign,
which includes the UJA.
The appeal urged local Zionist
groups to send five delegates to
the city-wide planning confer-
ence of Jewish organizations,
sponsored by the campaign's or-
ganizations division, 1:30 p.m.,
Sunday, April 8, at the Dexter-
Davison Jewish Center.
The proclamation was signed
by Lawrence .Crohn, president of
the Zionist Council; A. C. Lap-
pin, president of the Zionist
Organization; Irving Schlussel,
president of Mizrachi; Sidney
Shevitz. chairman, Labor Zionist
Council; A. Beitner, chairman,
city committee of the Farband-

Levine Re-Elected
President of JNF

NEW YORK, (JTA)—The re-
election of Dr. Harris J. Levine
as president of the The Jewish
National Fund of America was
announced here following a
meeting of the. JNF board of
directors. In thanking t h e
board, Dr. Levine said that the
JNF is today v e r y popular
among the Jews in the United
States as testified by the fact
that the sum of $28,000,000 has
been raised in this country by
the Fund in pennies, nickels and
dimes contributed since 1910, in
addition to larger sums obtained
through fund-raising agencies.
Others elected to office were:
Dr. Israel Goldstein, honorary
president; Louis Segal, honorary
secretary; Jacob Sincoff, treas-
urer; and Miss Julliet N. Benja-
min and Rabbi Max Kirshblum,
associate treasurers. Mendel W.
Fisher was elected to his six-
teenth consecutive one -year
term as secretary and executive
director.

is now providing Detroiters with
a specially designed Social Se-
curity chart with a revolv-
ing w heel which tells at
a glance individual old age and
survivors benefits under the re-
vised Act. Industrial National
will provide these charts to em-
ployers for distribution to em-
ployees.
The bank decided to have the
charts prepared when a survey
revealed that nine out of ten
persons do not know what their
Social Security benefits are un-
der the revised Act. Social Se-
curity guides are free of charge
and are available at all offices.

With all slips assigned and an average increase of 14% in
pledges from workers to date, the dentists' section of the 1951
Allied Jewish Campaign has a head start in its share of the drive.

schedule of action under the chairmanship of Dr. Bernard
Schmidt. Committee members are: Standing, Dr. Jack Lawson;
