Mr. and Mrs. George Weingarden and their two small daugh-
ters of Stansbury Ave. are spending a fortnight in Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Papo of Pennington Dr. left this week
for a stay in Acapulco, Mexico.
Mr. and Mrs. David Emerman of Shrewsbury Rd. are spending
a few weeks in Tucson, Ariz., where they are guests at the El
Dorado.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Tolmich of the Wilshire Hotel are spending
a few weeks in Florida.
Mrs. Leo Grossman of Glynn Ct. sailed on Wednesday on the
S. S. LaGuardia for Israel where she will visit with her son and
daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Hillel Grossman.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Geschelin of Pennington Dr. left on Mon-
day to spend a week in New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gunsberg of Cortland Ave. are spending
a month in Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rosenberg of Ohio Ave. have returned
from New York where they spent a few weeks visiting with mem-
bers of their family.
Dr. and Mrs. Robert A. Schiff and daughter, Helen, of Stur-
tevant Ave., have returned from a three-week stay in Miami
Beach, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. James Sobel, of W. Outer Dr., will join Mr. and
Mrs. Max Shlaers, of Chicago, Ill., for a trip to Miami Beach
where they plan to stay for two months.
After his recent graduation from the University of Miami,
J. Burton Keys is here visiting family and friends. He plans to
return to Miami in a couple of weeks to open his law office.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Neiss of the Wilshire Hotel have returned
from a visit in Israel.
Among those vacationing at the Hollywood, Fla., Beach Hotel
are George Golanty, 20480 Picadilly; Mrs. Louis Davidson, 19563
Canterbury; Mrs. Reuben Kallman, 2420 Boston; Mr. and Mrs.
Bernard Siegel, 18685 Buchcrest; Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Srere,
1245 Boston; Jack Schiff, 3501 Oakman, all of Detroit.
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred W. Payson of Chicago Blvd. have returned
from a month's visit in New Orleans, Miami Beach and Cuba.
Ben S. Sidlow has moved from his Rochester Ave. residence
to 19483 Birwood.
Herbert J. Sidlow recently moved from his home on Calvert
Ave. to his new residence, 19494 Mendota.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brown of Inglewood, Calif., formerly of
Detroit, celebrated the Bar Mitzvah of their son, Alan Ronald, at
Temple Sholom in Los Angeles. Detroiters who traveled for the
occasion were: Misses Alice, Belle and Molly Moskowitz, sisters
of Mrs. Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Willis, Mr. and Mrs. Julius
Moskowitz, of Presque Isle, Me., formerly of Detroit. Former De-

health institution in Jerusalem.
The sum of $2,500 covers each
bed endowment. The names of

scribed on a Wall of Healing,
outside the building, in a Wall
of Healing book, inside the
building, and by individual
plaques over beds.
The latest subscription for a
bed was received from the
Kalden-Keystone Steel Corpora-

Knights of Pythias, Sisters
To Piesent Purim Program
The public is invited to a
Purim party of the Knights of
Pythias and the Pythian Sisters
at the lodge hall, 15787 Wyom-
ing on Sunday. Tickets will be
sold at the door, or may be
bought by calling Mrs. D. Gross-
man, UN. 3-5912, or Mrs. J.
Rachleff, WE. 3-0474. Besides
dancing to music by Dick Stein
and his orchestra, there will be
entertainment, games and re-
freshments. Proceeds go to child
welfare.

ficers of Carmel Hebrew School
and Cong. Bnai Joseph, the fol-
lowing were elected:

SZ Youth Hold Matzo Ball
The Young People's Society of
Cong. Shaarey Zedek, announce
its Matzo Ball will be held at
8:30 p.m., April 18, in the social
hall. Ben Katzman and his or-
chestra will play. Tickets may
be obtained from Marilyn Her-

The largest marlin ever caught
weighed 976 pounds, was 12 feet
8 inches long.
