Continuing their program of promoting community relations,

Veterans have completed plans for the fourth annual Goodwill

pearance Saturday evening;
March 24, at Pattengill Audi-
torium, Ann Arbor, with four
specialty skits competing for the
annual cup.

campus-sponsored United Jew-
ish Appeal.
This year's show is under the
direction of Guida Garon who
supervises a staff and cast con-
sisting of 200. Assisting Miss
Garon on the Central Commit-

Treatments of cortisone, new
miracle drug, administered by
specialists at the North End
Clinic, have saved the eyesight of
two Detroiters.
•In a final effort to save the
eye of a worker, on which cata-
racts had developed after molt-
en metal had fallen into his eye,
cortisone was injected. Near-
complete recovery is expected.
An elderly man, losing his eye-
sight because of tuberculosis,
has improved to the point where
fear of blindness has been dis-
pelled. Both cases were handled
through the eye clinic which
treated 2,867 Detroiters last year.
The North End Clinic, a com-
munity service of the Jewish
Welfare Federation made pos-
sible t h r o u g h contributions to
the Torch Drive, also cares for
cases in its allergy, physical
therapy, dentistry, dermatology,
eye, ear, nose and throat, gyna-
colog y, cardiac, tuberculosis,
venere„.1 disease and chiropody
clinics.
Sarah J. Sempliner is chief
clerical worker at the Clinic,
which is administered by a board
of trustees headed by David Wil-
kus, president; Sylvan S. Gros-
ner, vice-president; Mrs. Abra-
ham Cooper, secretary; and Miss
Edith Heavenrich, treasurer.
Departments are headed by
Drs. S. G. Meyers, James R. Ro-
gin, M. P. Meyers, Irving I. Pos-
ner, A. A. Gilbert, I. S. Schem-
beck, and A. R. Bloom. Dr.
Schembeck is chief of staff and
