Max Chomsky to Head
Haifa's Humor Program
Max Chomsky will address a
meeting of Haifa Chapter, ZOD,
on Monday night, at Northwest
Hebrew Cong. He will speak on
Jewish Homor, announced Jack
Nevel, program chairman. Fol-
lowing his talk a "Can You Top
This" program of Jewish humor
will be featured.
Haifa Chapter will hold a
Purim party on March 26, at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sam-
uel Barr. Hostesses will be Mes-
dames George Charnas, Jules
Doneson, Alex Zuckrnan and
Maurice Zunder.

Blumenthal, daughter of Mrs.
Rae Blumenthal, of Shaker

Yale .Arfa, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Carl Arfa, of 2441 Blaine. Rabbi
Rudolph M. Rosenthal officiated
at the candlelight ceremony.
Mrs. Sidney Blumenthal was
matron of honor and brides-
maids were Lois Levin, of De-
troit, and Ruth Chapel, of Cleve-

brother's best man, and Larry

August were ushers. Sandra Jap-
pe was flower girl. A reception
was followed by a dinner. The
couple honeymooned in the East.

For her wedding, Lucy chose
a satin creation trimmed with a
leaf-affect of seed pearls, the
gown ending in a long, sweep-
ing train. Her sweetheart head-
piece was trimmed with match-
ing seed pearls, and to it was
attached an imported silk illu-
sion veil of fingertip length. Her
bouquet was delicately composed
of lilies of the valley and snap
dragons.
Attending the bride were Mrs.
Bernard Friedman as matron of
honor. and Elaine Fishman as
maid of honor. Bridesmaids were
Charlotte Hirschman, Mrs. Lloyd
Fishman and Mrs. Sheldon Fish-
man. Serving the bridegroom as
best man was Samuel Jacobs.
Ushers were Robert Segal, Lloyd
Fishman and Sheldon Fishman.
Linda Neshkes and Carol
Weinstein were the flower girls
and Larry Gaba was ring bearer.
Following the ceremony there
was a dinner and reception at
the Mayfair Room. Out-of-town
guests included the bride's
brother and sister-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Lawrence Hirschman
and their son, Joel, of Portland,
Ore.; the bridegroom's grand-
father, Isaac Light, and uncle,
Fred Light, of New York; Mrs.
Elsie Shari and Mrs. Charles
Bromberg, of Canton, O.; and
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Arnoff and
son, Warren; Mrs. Rose Schu-
macher and Lou Schumacher, of
Chicago.
The young couple are residing
on Kentucky Ave., after a honey-
moon in' New York City.
