The Infants Service Group
show, "Toast to Our Town",
staged for 1,500 guests last Sun-
day evening, in the Scottish Rite
Cathedral of the Masonic Tem-
ple, displayed near professional
polish which, for the most part,
was well paced and had clusters
of clever acts.
The show was part of the
group's annual dinner, dance
and show combination, which
this year paid tribute to the
250th anniversary of Detroit's
founding. The women who dis-
carded their aprons and -their
offspring for one night step-
ped out of character to do
"our town" up right.
Guest of honor at the even-

Wayne U. Grid Letter
Frank Rosenthal, son of Mrs.
Rose, Rosenthal of 4072 Elm-
hurst, was awarded a major.let-
ter in football by the Wayne
University athletic advisory
board in recognition of his serv-
ice on the grid squad.
In the college of education,
Rosenthal will graduate in 1953.
This was his first letter in foot-
ball. He was graduated from
Central High School in June,
1947, and served 18 months . in
the U.S. Army.
Rosenthal, who was Wayne's
regular left halfback, carried
the ball 72 times for a total of
237-yards gain e d. He also
caught three passes for 29 yards.
Rosenthal was also used fre-
quently as a defensive halfback.

a pleasing voice, also demon-
strated some fancy foot work.
Mrs. David Riseman again is
to be given credit for producing
and directing the show. This
year marked the 14th time she
has served the Infants Service
Group in this capacity.
At the dinner, Gov. Williams
thanked the Infant's Service
Group for extending him an
invitation, and said, "It seems
I am always attending some
activity of the Jewish people.
Last week I was at the ground
breaking of the Jewish Hospi-
tal. Tonight I am attending
an affair sponsored by a group
of wonderful women interested
in the welfare of infants."
Proceeds from the evening
help support the many artivities
to which the Infant Service
Group has devoted its efforts.
Among these activities are con-
tributions and actual case work
in cerebral palsy and infantile
paralysis.
One of the biggest concerns of
the group, which started its 16th
year in September, is care of
cases given them by the Jewish
Social Service Bureau and other
organizations, to provide cloth-
ing, food, medical care, layettes
and bassinettes for babies until
they reach the age of two.
