Branches of the Labor Zion-
ist movement are urged, in an
appeal by Sidney Shevitz, chair-
man of LZOA Council, to double
their efforts on behalf of the
Histadrut campaign to make an
exemplary showing at the rally.
The Habonim chorus and
dance group will appear at the
rally in a special program of
Israeli songs and dances.
At last week's rally, LZOA
Branch 10 was acclaimed for
its outstanding campaign work.
Under the leadership of Nor-
man Naimark, William Schumer
and Larry Nichamin, the branch
reached 81% of last year and
is leading the Labor Zionist
movement. Farband branch 557
and LZOA Branch 6 have reach-
ed . 70%.
Plans are being made for a
mid-campaign mass meeting on
Sunday, Feb. 18, with the ob-
jective of presenting a sub-
stantial check for Israel Hista-
drut through Mordecai Namir,
general secretary of Histadrut,
fromer Israel Ambassador to
Russia, who is coming to the
United States next month.

it here left a list of needy per-
sons to whom packages should
be sent. Local Mizrachi mem-
bers have sent numerous pack-
ages to persons in great need of
food. The packages were for-
warded through Ameic, Ameri-
can Israel Corporation.

resented Mizrachi at the Jewish
National Fund jubilee conven-
tion in Washington.
