Habonim Occupies New Center
As Meeting Place and Office

A new center was made avail-
able to Habonim for council and
group meetings. Formerly a
store, the building is located at
13623 Linwood. It will also
house the Habonim office. Stan-
ley Gutterman was appointed
director of the center, and will
be responsible for its adminis-
tration. Gutterman announced
that a library will soon be cre-
ated, built around movement
publications and books contrib-
uted by members.

Campaigners Meet with Rosenwald,
Schwartz; Plan Early Drive Start

On Thursday, the budget committee of the Jewish Wel-
fare Federation met with William Rosenwald, co-chairman
of the United Jewish Appeal, and Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz,
executive vice-chairman of the UJA, and •discussed with
them the UJA needs in 1951. Edward M. M. Warburg, na-
tional UJA chairman, -who was clue to be at the meeting,
was unable to come.
Plans for the Allied Jewish Campaign are proceeding
and actual work is expected to be in full swing within two
weeks.
