Women Offer Concert
Featured at the annual concert
of the Women of Gemiluth
Chassodim, to be held Jan. 20
at the Art Institute, will be a
piano duet, an instrumental trio
and the Music Study Club cho-
rus, under the direction of Dan
Frohman. Proceeds will be used
for charity, mostly for orphans
in Israel.
Edythe S h e v i t z and Hilda
Shoob will play several selections
on the piano, and the Karl Haas
trio, consisting of clarinet, piano
and cello will also perform. Mrs.
Alex Roberg is chairman. Tick-

lowing the concert there will be
a reception at Wayne Univer-
sity's Hillel House.
Young Judaeans Map
Plans for Club Month
Final plans have been made
for the two outstanding events
being sponsored by Young Ju-
daea this weekend. In keeping
with the policy of National
Young Judaea, Detroit groups
have designated January as
Young Judaea month.
The first event will be Sab-
bath Services on Saturday, to be
held at Shaarey Zedek and
Northwest Hebrew Congrega-
tions. Both Rabbi Adler and
Rabbi Segal will pay tribute to
the work being done by the
Young Judaea members in De-
troit. Following services there
v,:11 be a Kiddush sponsored by
the Detroit Zionist Youth Com-
mission.
The second event is a paper
drive on behalf of the Tzofim
(Israel Scouts) on Sunday. An

be sent to the Tzofim to facili-
tate the purchase of a camp
near Jerusalem.
