She made her appeal during a discussion in Parlia- ment. Mrs. Myerson, who just re- turned from a tour of work camps in southern Israel, stressed that despite the great hardships endured by immi- grants, progress has been made in improving their lot. She praised the work of the Jewish Agency and the Jewish National Fund in this respect, pointing out that the r e c e n t I y-an- nounced JNF program for land reclamation on a large scale will provide between three and four years of steady work for the immigrants. The same immi- grants, she added, will then be able to move onto small farms on the land which they had im- proved under the JNF program.
