its main chapel, which will be

social hall. The ceremonies-will
take place at 1 p.m., S,unday.

will be the annual Hanukah

Cleveland Dedicates
$1,500,000 Synagogue
CLEVELAND, (JTA)—Dedica-
tion ceremonies of the new Park
Synagogue were held here Sun-
day with Dr. Abba Hillel Silver,
Dr. Louis Finkelstein and Rabbi
Armond E. Cohen, ,spiritual
leader of the synagogue, partici-
pating. The temple, constructed
on a 30-acre site at a cost of
$1,500,000, has a seating capacity
of 3,000. Eric Mendelsohn, who
laid out, the Hadassah Hospital
in Jerusalem, was the architect.

NEW YORK — Rabbi Max
Wohlgelernter was chosen for a
citation 'by Torah Urnesorah
(National Society for Hebrew
Day Schools) for his work with
Detroit's - Yeshivath Beth Ye-
hudah.' Rabbi, Wohlgelerntef, a
founder of the school, a former
president and currently chair-
man of the executive committee,
is one of twelve men cited by
the society throughout the coun-
try.
The award was presented at
the Torah conference and ban-
quet of Torah Umesorah on Dec.
13 in New York. It is annually
given to those people whose con-
tribution to the growth of He-
brew Day Schools in ther repre-
sentative communities has wide
national significance in Amer-
ican Jewish life.
