Detroiter Sidney Gottlieb Acclaimed
For Mexico City Cantorial Services
The avocational hobby of con-
ducting religious services and
'acting as cantor has brought
fame to Detroiter Sidney Gott-
lieb beyond the borders of the
United States.
During his visit in Mexico City
in September, Mr. Gottlieb, who
resides at 18660 Prairie, volun-
teered to conduct the services
at the Minyan Kadima. He not
only gave his services gratis but
also made a liberal contribution
to the synagogue's deficit.
His melodious voice so thrilled
the worshippers that as a result
of his officiating 55,000 pesos
were raised for the congregation.
He was asked to return again
