Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Gladwin (Rhea E. Cashman), of 866 Iro-
quois, sailed from Los Angeles to Hawaii where they will stay at
the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. They will return to Detroit about Dec. 1.
A sweet sixteen party will be given for Sandra Beverly Ober-
field, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Oberfield, of 2989
Richton, on Nov. 25. Friends of Sandra and the family will attend
the celebration at the family home.
Mrs. Charlotte Robbins and son, Robert, have flown to Meriden,
Conn., to visit her in-laws for several weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. David A. Levine and son, Seymour, have moved
from Burlingame ,Ave. to their new residence at 19363 Sussex.
An open house honoring Richard B. Kramer and Billie, Gold-
berg, of Chicago, on their marriage will be given at the home of
Dr. and Mrs. Gerson Berris, 2930 Calvert, at 4 p.m., Thanksgiving
Day. Friends of the couple are invited.
Rabbi and Mrs. Israel I. Rockove will entertain their friends
at a house warming from 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday, at their new home,
3039 Collingwood. No cards.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Yanich will hold an open house at their
home, 2319 Leslie, at 3 p.m., Sunday, in honor of their son, Joseph
Isadore Yanich, and daughter, Mrs. Walter H. Plaut (the former
Hadassah Yanich). Jgseph recently returned from Israel where
he spent a year as the recipient of the Michigan ZOA region
scholarship. Mrs. Plaut will embark for Israel with her infant
son on Dec. 12, to join her husband, Rabbi Walter Plaut, who is
studying for his PhD at the Hebrew University. They will reside'
in Jerusalem. No cards..
Mr. and Mrs. Mrs. Harry Grossman, and sons, Marvin and
Manuel, formerly of Clairmount Ave., are now residing on Pine-
hurst Ave.
Miss Blanche-Barach of Brooklyn, N. Y., is visiting her sister,
Mrs. Beatrice Epel of 2030 Gladstone.
• Merle Harris of 7442 Kipling and Jack Stiglits of 18024 North-
lawn have returned to their homes after visiting with relatives in
Cleveland, Youngstown and Pittsburgh.
Among the women who attended the national convention of
the Women's League of the United Synagogues of America, which
took place last weekend ill Minneapolis, were Mrs. Herman Becker
and Mrs. Irwin Levine, president and vice-president of the - Beth
Aaron Sisterhdod/ They will' present a report of the convention
at the December meeting of the Sisterhood.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Field 'of Huntington Woods have left for
Palni Beach, Fla., to vacation for a -fortnight.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lambert of Whittier Road, accompanied
by Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Meyer of Chicago Blvd., have returned
from a week-end visit in South Bend, Ind., where they were the
house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Baer, formerly of Detroit.
Miss Marlene Minsky of Chicago will be the house-guest of
Miss Ann Frank of Wildemere Avenue over the weekend of the
Thanksgiving holiday.
Miss Ethel Levine of Calvert Ave., is spending 10 days in New
York City.
Ronald Greenberg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Greenberg of
Whitmore Road, is spending the winter in study and travel in
Israel.
Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell Katzen and family, formerly of Pin-
gree Avenue, have moved into their new home, at 18290 Wild emere

on Sunday evening.

HILDEGARDE, the interna-
tionally famous chanteuse and
pianist, will appear at Music
Hall, next Wednesday evening,
in her unique song and piano
concert. Assisted by her own
orchestra, Hildegarde will be
presented in a program that
has already been acclaimed by
audiences in New York, Boston,
Chicago and San Francisco.

One of America's favorite con-
cert attractions, the two piano
team of VRONSKY and BABIN,
will appear in Masonic Audi-
torium on Monday, Nov. 20, at
8:20 p.m. Vronsky and Babin
have been among the most pop-
ular piano duos sihce their
American debut in 1937; their
recordings and their radio
broadcasts have also added to
their public.

Mrs. Rose Edelman, of Santa

dra Rita, to Fred Hittman, son

Cinema to Screen
`Catskill Honeymoon,'
New Jewish Musical

One of the best Yiddish
American musical revues to be
filmed in the last few years will
open soon at the Cinema Theat-
er. Called "Catskill Hone y-
moon," the plot is centered
around a couple celebrating their
golden wedding anniversary at
the same hotel in the Catskills
where they spent their honey-
moon 50 years previously.
The cast features some of the
top-flight names in show busi-
ness including the comedy team
of Henrietta Jacobson and Ju-
lius Adler, Dina Goldberg, Jan
Bart and Bas Sheva. The musi-
cal score was written by Hy Ja-
cobson, with an additional num-
ber written by Nick and Charles
Kenny.
