Fifteen students, 11 from Is-
rael, recently arrived in this
country for graduate study at
American universities on schol-
arships awarded by the Nation-
al Council of Jewish Women, it
was announced by Mrs. Irving
M. Engel of New York, national
president. This brings the num-
ber of 'Council scholarship
awards to date to 65.
The students, many of whom
have held important welfare po-
sitions in Israel, were chosen on
the basis of outstanding qualifi-
cations. After completing their
studies here they will return to
their work in Israel with the
most advanced training in social
work, nursery and teaching de-
veloped..in this • country.

honor of the National Federa-
tion of Temple Sisterhoods at
its 80th biennial assembly, Nov.
12-15, in Cleveland, will be en-
