Congressman Dingell will be
presented with the certificate
just received from Jerusalem,
signifying that his name has
been inscribed in the Golden
Book of the JNF in apprecia-
tion of his numerous services
in behalf of the Zionist cause.
Mr. Reuther recently re-
turned from Israel where he
witnessed the growth of the
Jewish state.

The JNF conference will pay
tribute to the memory of the
late Judge Morris Rothenberg in
a special memorial service.
Cantor Hyman Adler will sing
Hebrew and Yiddish selections.
Mr. Laikin will preside at the
afternoon session. Irving W.
Schlussel, chairman of the board
of the JNF Council and its for-
mer president, will preside at
the morning session.
Greetings will be extended to
the delegates by spokesmen for
the Zionist Organization, Ha-
dassah, Labor Zionist Organiza-
tion, Pioneer Women, Mizrachi,
Ladies' Auxiliary of the JNF and
the, Jewish Community Council.
Rabbi Joshua S. Sperka, a for-
mer president of the JNF Coun-
cil,- also will greet the delegates.
A report on the past year's JNF
activities here will be given by
Louis Freed, new JNF director.

For Hadassah Hospital

A Hadassah Chapter meeting
for all groups will be held Nov.
14 at the Art Institute. Follow-
ing a complimentary luncheon-
ette, the program, under the
chairmanship of Mrs. Harry
Landsman, will emphasize the
Hadassah medical organization.
There will be a presentation
of a program "To Live, To
Grow," the story of a young Is-
raeli doctor. A guest speaker
will also be featured on the pro-
gram.
Mrs. William Isenberg, chap-
ter chairman of the medical or-
ganization announces that Ha-
dassah members are currently
engaged in a "plus giving" cam-
paign in behalf of a new medi-
cal center for the State of Is-
rael.
The center will include a
hospital and nurses training
school both greatly needed at
the present time. Anyone wish-
ing to memorialize relatives or
friends by the purchase of beds
or rooms for the proposed In-
stitute are requested to call Mrs.
Isenberg at TO. 8-7630.

Joffe Continues Series,
`Community and You'

Boris M. Joffe, executive di-
rector of the Jewish Community
Council will discuss "The Jew-
ish Community" at the second
lecture of the series conducted
for Bnai Brith women in Detroit.
The study session will be held at
the Davison Jewish Center.
The course was set up by the
Michigan Regional Board of An-
ti-Defamation League of Bnai
Brith, in cooperation with the
Detroit Jewish Community
Council, for members of the
ADL committee, chapter presi-
dents and the Greater Detroit
Bnai Brith Women's Council.
Mr. Joffe's lecture is part of a
ten-lecture series entitled "The
Community and You."

World Jewry Pays Final Tribute
To Sweden's Gustav, Dead at 92

JERUSALEM, (JTA)—The Is-

Chaim Weizmann's official resi-
dence at Rehovot flew at half-
mast in tribute to King Gustav
of Sweden. Dr. Weizmann and
Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett
cabled messages of condolence
to the royal family while Abra-
ham Nissan, Israel Minister to
Sweden, flew to Stockholm to
represent the Jewish state at
the funeral.
