Leon Kay spent a few days in New York and from there went
on to Washington to attend the National Conference for Israel and
Rehabilitation. /
Dr. and Mrs. Alexander Sanders and Dr. and Mrs. Geza Schin-
agel are in Boston where they are attending the medical conven-
tion.
Miss Bette Weinberg, who will be married Dec. 17, was given
a gadget shower Tuesday •evening by Mrs. J. Turner and Mrs. R.
Weinberg.
Mrs. Michael Freeman of Wellesley Drive has returned from a
six-week visit in New York City.
Guests who were in Detroit on Sunday, to attend the Youth
Conclave sponsored by the Michigan Federation of Temple Sister-
hoods were Rabbi Morton Applebaum of Flint, who accompanied
a group of young people from that city, Mrs. Frank Rosenthal who
came with a delegation from Jackson, and Mrs. Herman Dickstein
who accompanied the group from Pontiac.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Gilbert of Mandersori Road have returned
from a visit in New York City.
Mrs. David Levy, formerly of W. Boston Blvd., is now residing
in her new home at 16638 La Salle Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Enggass have returned to their home
on Cumberland Way after a 10-day visit in Boston and New York
City.
Mrs. Monte Wittelshofer of the Belcrest, accompanied by Mrs.
Sidney Weisman of Suffolk Drive, is spending several weeks in
Los Angeles, Calif. •
Mrs. Leonard Kramer of New York City has been in Detroit
for several weeks visiting her mother, Mrs. Julius V. Brown of
Lincolnshire Road.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gershenson of Suffolk Drive are vaca-
tioning for 10 days in New York City.
Mrs. Frieda Ullman of Los Angeles is in Detroit for six weeks
visiting with friends and relatives. Mrs. Ullman, a guest at the
Book-Cadillac Hotel /luring her stay here, last week was joined
there by her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs..Henry Ullman,
also 7:01-Los Angeles, who visited in Detroit en route east on a va-
cation trip.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kann of Ardmore Road, accompanied by
Mr. and Mrs. S. Lewis of Milwaukee, have left for a vacation in
New York City.
Peter Miller of LaSalle Blvd., is spending a fortnight in New
York City, where he will be joined later by Mrs. Miller.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur -Saltzstein and Dr. and Mrs. Edward Ja-
cobson of Milwaukee spent the past week-end visiting family in
Detroit, and in Ann Arbor where they attended the Michigan-Wis-
consin football game. ;
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Van Baalen of Toledo visited in De-
troit during the past week-end.
Honoring Miss Barbara Joan Pollack, a bride-elect of next
month, Mrs. A. A. Agree, Mrs. M. L. Waxman and Mrs. Edward
Waxman entertained at a luncheon at Huylers' on Oct. 21.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Morton of Roslyn Road have returned
from a week in New York City.
Mr. and Mrs. Warren Shwayder of Longfellow Ave. are spend-
ing the week in Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wainger of Wellesley Drive have spent the
past week in New York City.
Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Rosner and son, Samuel, formerly of Lin-
wood Ave., are now residing in their new home at 20470 Ward Aye.
Mr. and Mrs. Max J. Kogan of Cambridge Rd. have returned
home after spending a week in New York City with their children,
Dr. and Mrs. R. D. Felmus and family, and attending the brith of
their grandson, Terrance K. Felmus.
Mr. and Mrs. Julius W. Englander and daughter, Susan; are
temporarily residing at The Belcrest.
Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Miller, of Wildemere Ave., are currently
motoring through the Ozark Mountains, Missouri, Arizona, Texas
and Oklahoma.
Following the concert of Jakob Gimpel, eminent Polish pianist,
at Music Hall, tonight, an afterglow will be held at Harmonie Club
to meet the artist. Patrons and patronesses . for the event include
