Borchtcapades is the variety show, sponsored by the Detroit Business Men's Group of the City of Hope, a sanitarium lo- cated at Duarte, Calif., which is dedicated to the treatment of patients suffering from all dis- eases, especially cancer a n d tuberculosis/ Many of the performers in this year's show are not new- comers to Detroit. Mickey Katz and his son, Joel Grey, are both well known comedians in this area. Patsy Abbott is a young lass, who has appeared at night clubs in the city, and has made her reputation as a comedienne.
