Activiiiei in Society

Mrs. Isadore Levin of Strathcona Drive is spending a few days
in Cleveland with relatives and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Levitt of the Indian Village Manor are
vacationing for several weeks in Atlantic City and New York City.
In honor of the seventieth birthday anniversary of their
mother, Mrs. Edward Feerer, the members of her family enter-
tained at an open house on last Sunday afternoon at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sills of Oak Drive. Later the family attended
a dinner at the Fox and hounds Inn.
. Mr. and Mrs. Hoke Levin of West Boston Blvd. are spending
the week in New York City.
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis B. Daniels of Warrington Dr. are spend-
ing the week in New York City. There they will be joined at the
Michigan-Army football game by their daughter, Lois, who is a
student at the University of Michigan.
• Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Pfeffer, formerly of Polk Manor, are now
residing in their new home at 25844 Salem Road, Huntington
Woods. .

Out-of-town guests in Detroit for the occasion of the Bar
Mitzvah of Peter Sidlow, son of Dr. and Mrs. Leonard_ Sidlow of
Argyle Crescent, which took place on Sattirday, Oct. 7 at Shaarey
Zedek Synagogue, included Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hirsch of Chi-
cago; Dr. and Mrs. Murray Simon, Dr. Saul Simon of Toronto,
Dr. and Mrs. H. 0. Hoffman of Pottsville, Pa., Mr. and Mrs. Sidney
Gamsu of Dayton, O.; I. C. Rosenthal of Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. A. D.
Lurie, Miss Sophie Gamsu, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Gamsu and
their son Samuel, all of New York City. All the visitors were guests
at the Lee Plaza Hotel over the week-epd.
Mr. and Mrs. Myron Ginsburg of Traverse City witnessed the
Michigan-Dartmouth football game while spending the week-end
at the Ann Arbor home of their children, Mr. and Mrs. Milford
Ginsburg.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Vikser were given a surprise party at
Zacks on their silver wedding anniversary. Mrs. Ray Weiner, Mrs.
Al Tunberg, Mrs. Louis Weiss and Mrs. Louis Klein were hostesses
and Jerome Vikser was host.
Mrs. E. Passerman, of 3216 Tyler, left recently for a 32 week
stay in Phoenix, Ariz.
Mrs. Mary Beltzman, of 3253 Clements, was given a family
party on her recent birthday.

BRANDEIS LODGE, Bnai Brith.
Plans have been formed to stim-
ulate cooperation of the mem-
bers. The committee is headed
by Louis Garber and assisted by
Harry Katz.

LODGE, Bnai Brith, meets at
8:30 p.m. Monday, at an all
sports meeting, at the Young
Israel Youth-Center. Joe Gins-
berg, Charlie Gehringer, Harry
Heilman, Lou Handler and sev-
eral Detroit Lions players will be
present. Irving Davis, president,
invites members and prospective
members to attend. The lodge
is planning a Hallowe'en party
for Oct. 30.
