will start with a dessert lunch-
eon at 12:30.

evening, in the Founders Room

conductor, has arrived in
Israel and will conduct the
first series of Israel Phil-
harmonic Orchestra subscrip-
tion concerts of the new sea-
son. He told correspondents
that he is eager to conduct
the works of Wagner and
Strauss, whose compositions,
until now, have not been
played in Israel.
Hold Music Scholarship
Auditions at Center
A scholarship for a musically
gifted child, in honor of the late
Abraham Pupko, has been estab-
lished by his daughter, Mrs. Sid-
ney Foreman. The grant will
pr o vide piano instruction
through the music department
of the Jewish Center for a tal-
ented child six to 12.
