Detroit Hadassah has received
interesting encouragement in its
campaign for this year's goal for
the Haddassah Medical Organi-
zation in the form of a novel
gift of $1,000 from. David A.
Lynn of 18203 Ohio for a bed
in the Yassky Memorial Hos-
pital in Beersheba, the first hos-
pital in the Negev.
Mr. Lynn had dreamed and
planned to visit Israel, but has
suddenly resolved that it would
be better to use the money to
help refugees in Israel than to
spend it for his own personal
pleasure. He cancelled his plans
for the trip and, without being
solicited, turned over to Hadas-
sah the sum of $1,000 as a me-
morial to his wife, Celia, who
passed away six years ago.
The Hadassah Medical Or-
ganization, of which Mrs. Wil-
liam Isenberg is local chairman,
is part of Detroit Hadassah's
current Honor Roll campaign,
headed by Mrs. Milton Mahler,
chairman, Mrs. Norman Rom,
co-chairman, and Mrs. Louis
Glazier, chapter vice president
of fund raising.
Participating are several hun-
dred enthusiastic workers, who
