Miss Judy Morton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Morton
of Roslyn Road, and Miss Anne Rosenfield, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Louis Robinson of the .Lee Plaza, have returned to Ohio
.•State University to resume their studies.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Friedman of Canterbury Drive left this
week for San Francisco, where they will attend the wedding of
their niece.
Honoring Miss Babette Kopple, a bride-elect of Oct. 22, a
luncheon and kitchen-gadget shower was given by Mrs. Fred
Marblestone on Sept. 16 at the home of her mother, Mrs. Benja-
min Salon of Longfellow Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kaufman and Mrs. Joseph Klein of Los
Angeles are the house-guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Allen of
Canterbury Road.
Mr. and Mrs. A. Gimbel of New York City were guests at the
Book-Cadillac Hotel during the past week-end for the occasion
of the Cinderella Ball.
Mrs. Leo Frank of Pennington Drive entertained at a luncheon
and miscellaneous shower at the Sheraton Hotel on Sept. 23 in
honor of her niece, Miss Betty Frank. Miss Frank's marriage to
Mr. Russell Schulman will take place on Oct. 15.
Miss Shirley Barnett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Barnett
of the Lee Plaza, returned recently to Northwestern University
to resume her studies.
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Frank of Shrewsbury Road have returned
from a six-weeks' vacation in Miami Beach, Fla.
George Meyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Meyer of Chicago
Blvd., has left for Boston to resume his studies in Harvard Law
School, and his brother Paul is registered at Michigan State
University.
Mrs. Louis Schulman and her son, Russell Schulman, of
Beverly Hills, Calif., arrived in Detroit this week to visit family
and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. David Wilkus of W. Boston Blvd. have returned
from a two months' trip through the Scandinavian countries.
Florence Weintraub has returned to her home on Sturtevant
Ave. after a month's stay at the Victoria Hotel in New York City
where she appeared as soloist on the radio program "Israel Calls,"
and as guest artist for Rosh Hashanah at Unser Camp, Highland
Mills.
Mrs. Morris H. Stoller and sons, Merrill and Fred, will join
Mr. Stoller, and settle in Shaker Heights, Cleveland, on Warrens-
ville Center Rd. Fred will attend Oberlin College, where he will
be a pre-medical student.
Rabbi and Mrs. Pinchos Katz have moved to 2024 Pingree,
Apt. A-7. Their new phone number is TY. 7-2611.
Mae Kroll of Blaine Ave. has returned from an extended
visit to Los Angeles.
Miss Lillian Bloom of Chicago visited here with her family,
and was the house guest of her cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Allan Sloan,
Of Santa Clara Ave.
Mr. and Mrrs. - Leslie Kay, formerly of 2744 Gladstone Ave.,
are now residing in their new home at 17345 Kentucky.
Goldie Myerson Group of Pioneer Women will honor Mrs.
Morris Fealk with a farewell gathering at the home of Mrs. James
Brindge, 2732 Pasadena, Wednesday evening Sept. 27, on the eve of
her departure for AriZona.
