Catholic Pilgrims Home
NEW YORK, (JTA)-El Al, IS-
rael National Airlines, has come
to the aid of Catholic Holy Year
pilgrirhs stranded in Europe be-
cause • their chartered. aircraft
has been diverted to the Korean
Airlift. •
By arranging a special flight
out of Lydda, El Al was able to
fly home 27 of the 80 American
Catholic pilgrims stranded in
Rome. The remaining Ameri-
cans will be carried home' on
subsequent flights. Recently El
Al flew home to the United
States large numbers of Ameri-
can students and educators
stranded in London, Paris and
Luxembourg.

Beat the eggs until light and
thick. Stir in one cup of sugar
gradually. Add honey and oil.
Dissolve one teaspooi of baking
powder, then add the mixed
pastry spices, cinnamon, nutmeg,
nuts, raisins, currants and the
ginger. Add this mixture to the
batter gradually and beat until
smooth. If batter looks a bit
loose, add a little more flour.
Bake in a greased loaf tin in a
moderate oven, 350 degrees for
one hour or until cake leaves
edge of pan.
